01 No Accounts, Passwords, or Email Gates
At SatisfactoryMap.org, we believe gaming utility tools should be open and friction-free. You do not need to create an account, log in through third-party social auth, or submit your email address to explore all 1,767 collectibles, use the miner overclocking calculator, or reference alternate recipe tiers.
Because we do not maintain user account databases, we do not store your passwords, credit cards, real names, or personal identities.
02 Browser Local Storage Usage
To make your exploration seamless, we save lightweight user preferences directly in your browser's window.localStorage.
This data never leaves your computer and is never transmitted to any cloud database.
sm_theme: Remembers whether you prefer Dark Mode or Light Mode across visits.prep_*: Remembers which items you have marked completed on our Hard Drive Expedition Checklist.sm_last_dispatch: Temporarily caches a receipt code if you transmit a message via our Contact form.
Total Control Over Your Data
Clearing your browser cookies or local site data for satisfactorymap.org immediately wipes 100% of these keys. You have complete autonomy over your device.
03 Save File (.sav) Parsing Privacy
When you use any client-side save file inspection tools on our website, the parsing process takes place entirely inside your browser's local memory using client-side JavaScript or WebAssembly.
Your .sav file is never uploaded to our servers, never stored in cloud storage, and never analyzed by third parties.
When you close the browser tab, your save file data is freed from browser memory.
04 Server Infrastructure Logs
Like all web servers, our hosting infrastructure automatically registers standard technical requests in temporary server access logs. These logs typically contain:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address (used solely for DDoS mitigation and regional CDN routing).
- Browser user-agent string and operating system version (used to optimize responsive CSS).
- Timestamp and requested URL (e.g.
GET /collectibles/hard-drives/). - HTTP response status code (e.g.
200 OKor404 Not Found).
These technical logs are used strictly for network security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring. They are automatically rotated and permanently deleted.
05 Your Global Pioneer Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Whether you are playing from the European Union, the United States, or anywhere else on Earth, we extend comprehensive data privacy rights:
- Right to Know: You have the right to know what data is collected. As stated above, we collect zero personally identifiable information.
- Right to Erasure: Because all your checklist state is stored in your own browser's local storage, you can erase it at any time with one click in your browser settings.
- Do Not Sell My Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to data brokers, advertising agencies, or marketing companies.
